Behind Axora is a team of dedicated professionals with strong backgrounds in audit, governance, compliance, forensic investigation, and business leadership. We are proud members of SAICA (South African Institute of Chartered Accountants), IIA (Institute of Internal Auditors), and ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners). At Axora, we combine technical expertise with practical insight, ensuring our clients not only stay compliant but also achieve stronger, more resilient businesses.

Mr. Frederik Brand

Frederik Brand is a dedicated and results-oriented professional with extensive expertise in auditing, risk management, governance, and compliance. He possesses 20 years of experience in providing innovative solutions and driving process improvements. Frederik successfully established an Internal Audit and GRC division across 26 companies operating in seven different countries.

Additionally, he played a crucial role in crafting and executing strategic plans around the audit and GRC landscape. He also serves as a trusted advisor to Boards and multiple committees.

Recognised for his integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and strategic thinking, Frederik has made significant contributions to strengthening internal controls, leading high-impact projects and investigations, and fostering cross-functional collaborations. He is a Certified Accountant SA and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Pretoria. Furthermore, he has attained a Doctorate in Business Administration from Hult International Business School.

Mr. Barend Opperman

Barend Opperman is a Certified Fraud Examiner and holds a B.Com (Hons) Internal Audit degree from the University of Pretoria.  He has over a decade of experience in internal audit, risk management, and forensic investigations. He has worked across agriculture, retail, and professional services, helping organisations strengthen governance, detect fraud, and improve internal controls. Known for his analytical insight, integrity, and ability to deliver practical risk solutions, Barend brings a proven track record of safeguarding businesses and driving operational resilience.

Mrs. Yolanda Opperman

Yolanda Opperman is a results-driven professional with expertise in leadership, problem-solving, and organisational management. With experience spanning education, youth development, and labour law consulting, she brings strong analytical skills, a systematic approach, and the ability to build effective relationships across diverse teams.
